Who we are

Sightline Aerial is based in Muirhead, Dundee. We provide drone survey and aerial inspection services across Tayside, Fife and Angus. Contact us at hello@sightlineaerial.co.uk.

What information we collect

When you submit a quote request through this website, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and details about your project. We only collect information you voluntarily provide.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you proceed, to deliver the services requested. We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Quote request submissions are processed via FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which routes your message to our inbox. No data is stored on their servers beyond message delivery.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry correspondence is retained for up to 2 years for business record-keeping purposes, then securely deleted. See our Data Retention Policy for full details.

Your rights

Overview

Sightline Aerial retains personal data only for as long as is necessary for legitimate business purposes or as required by law.

Enquiry and quote data

Contact form submissions and related email correspondence are retained for 2 years from the date of last contact, then permanently deleted.

Client project records

Where a project proceeds, records including deliverables, invoices, and correspondence are retained for 6 years in accordance with UK tax and accounting requirements.

Survey data and imagery

Aerial imagery and processed deliverables are retained for the duration of the project and for 12 months thereafter, unless a different period is agreed in writing with the client.

Deletion requests

You may request early deletion of your personal data by contacting hello@sightlineaerial.co.uk, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain records.

1. Services

Sightline Aerial provides drone survey and aerial inspection services as described on this website. All operations are conducted by a CAA-registered operator in compliance with the UK Air Navigation Order 2016 and applicable CAA regulations.

2. Quotations

All prices quoted are estimates based on the information provided at the time of enquiry. Final pricing may vary if site conditions, access requirements, or scope differ from the initial brief. A written quote will be confirmed before any work commences.

3. Cancellation

Bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the agreed survey fee to cover mobilisation costs. Cancellations due to unsafe weather or site conditions will not incur a charge.

4. Weather and safety

All flights are subject to weather conditions, airspace restrictions, and on-site safety assessments. Sightline Aerial reserves the right to reschedule or abort operations where conditions are deemed unsafe or non-compliant with CAA regulations.

5. Liability

Sightline Aerial holds Public Liability Insurance as required for commercial drone operations. Our liability is limited to direct losses arising from our negligence and does not extend to indirect or consequential losses. Clients are responsible for ensuring appropriate site access permissions are in place prior to survey.

6. Deliverables

Survey deliverables will be provided in the format agreed at quotation. Ownership of raw imagery remains with Sightline Aerial; the client receives a licence to use deliverables for the agreed purposes.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
